Three Tagelharpas viola This is not the pear-shapedA more detailed sample library of the tagelharpa, strakharpa and bass tagelharpa we sampled earlier for Orcophony. These are replicas of medieval European bowed lyres, and commonly heard in Viking music today. They have a rather rough sound, and are bowed with a melody note and one or two drones. The tagelharpa has four gut strings, the strakharpa has four strings of artificial tendon, and the bass tagelharpa has three horsehair strings. Sample
