he was in the thick of the air fighting over Southern England flying several combat sorties in Hurricane R4118 claiming two victories

I took advantage of the water in this image to yield some vertical reflections that add a balance to the painting and of course helps in the illusion of making it look like water

They are not really there but adding them adds a little bit of interest and gives me the opportunity to add very faint reflections in the water
