Antique Victorian Butterfly Moth Silver Filigree Brooch RATTLE This piece was converted fromAntique Victorian (1837 1901) Moth Butterfly brooche featuring filigree detailing. The brooches have two sets of wings which protrude giving the brooch a more pronounced 3D effect. The brooch has a signature open 'c' setting common in the Victorian era. Filigree is a delicate form of metal work in silver or gold creating a lace effect. This style of jewellery was very popular in Italy and France in the late 19th century. HALLMARKS None tested silver.
