I wanted the bird to be "larger than life" by using a deep wide angle background and careful position of horizon with cloud cover

particularly a wonderfully close moment with a Least Sandpiper (calidris minutilla)

and the Chestnut-sided Warbler is a good example of why : ) Wanted a simple treatment for this as I felt the bird here does most of the heavy lifting
