You'll need two for a rear axle, or three (yes 3) for a Dodge or Chevy Dana 60 front axle. These axles require one on each side of the leaf spring for the perch housing because there's two studs instead of a U bolt. The shim on the other side goes the opposite direction, keeps the studs perpendicular to the spring plate, and allows the nuts and washers to sit flat. A rear axle
