Very Rare Original Carte de Visite Photograph from Oberlin, OH Autograph This old folio is likeVery rare on the market, this is it . . . the original, steel eyed, hell fire, stare 'em down until they kneel down, photograph that went on to become the "go to" for his memoirs, etc., Taken c. 1865 by A. C. Platt of Oberlin, Ohio, it is very challenging to come by. This is perhaps the 2nd, 3rd at most, we have handled in 25 years. Very good state, standard format 2. 5 x 4 inches, some very light toning. About as fine an example as you will see.
