Acer griseum - Paperbark Maple avenue A native to Sichuan provinceThe Paperbark Maple is an extraordinary maple that features an exfoliating bark that is quire unusual for the Acer genus. Native to central China, unfortunately this species is threatened in the wild and is listed as Endangered by the IUCN. A small tree to 7 to 9m, it can be grown in a variety of soils as long as the are moist and well drained. N. B This is the much harder to find seedling grown plant, not a grafted specimen.
