Elaborate Ink Black Silk Formal Dress with Beading Lace and Long Fringe circa 1910s op-art Closed backEarly 1900s Edwardian hand made black silk dress with silk lace overlay, sleeves. Long silk fringe on hem of top layer of skirt and sleeves. Heavier silk panel down front of dress in center, bodice is sheer black lace edged in beads and ruffles nude silk under shoulders. Back silk panel over sheer bodice for modesty. Ruched at hips with wide band, snaps in back indicate there was likely a back piece that attached. Dress snaps and hooks shut at left
